Hong Kong Green Building Council: “My Green Space” Student Competition 2026-2027 is now open for registration!

The Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) has been organising the “My Green Space” Student Competition since 2011 to raise public awareness of green buildings. Over the years, the Competition has received strong and continued support from schools and the education sector. It aims to inspire the younger generation to reimagine the relationship between cities and nature through creative thinking and to nurture future green building pioneers.

This year’s Competition is themed “The Ideal Nature-Positive Built Environment”. Students are encouraged to present their vision of a liveable, regenerative, zero-waste and circular built environment through the lenses of design, planning, engineering, climate-resilient strategies and nature-based solution, to help drive society toward a carbon-neutral and nature-positive future.

The Competition welcomes primary and secondary school students in Hong Kong, as well as tertiary students from Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. Entries in multiple formats are accepted.

HKGBC will also organise a Green Building Tour and Workshop to deepen students’ understanding of green buildings, and launch a Companion Scheme, under which young green building practitioners will answer participants’ technical questions.

Participants will have the chance to win attractive cash prizes of up to HK$8,000 and certificates, have their works publicly exhibited, and gain other valuable learning and exchange opportunities. Interested students are encouraged to seize the opportunity and register now!
