The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors Annual Conference 2026 is open for registration.

Established in 1984, the HKIS is the only surveying professional body incorporated by ordinance in Hong Kong with a membership of over 11,000. We endeavour to promote the highest level of professionalism and ethics, and to uphold the quality of work and high standards of practices of our members in delivering their services to the community. Furthermore, we play a major and active role in advising the government and many other consultative bodies on issues related to town planning, building works, construction cost management, real estate development, facilities management, private and public housing, and land boundary matters which are vital for sustaining the growth of Hong Kong for the benefit of the community as a whole.

The theme of the coming conference is “Safeguarding Homes: Surveyors for Building Maintenance and Community Safety”. Through this meaningful event, we aim to address the growing importance of building maintenance and repair in ensuring public safety and the long-term sustainability of the built environment. The conference will focus on practical strategies in building upkeep, lifecycle management and risk prevention, while highlighting the professional role of surveyors in safeguarding building quality and performance. It will also explore collaborative approaches among various industry stakeholders to enhance maintenance standards, optimise asset value and strengthen the resilience of existing buildings across Hong Kong.
