BEAM Society Limited (BSL) and Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) are jointly announcing the Official Launch of the upgraded green building tool - BEAM Plus Existing Buildings Version 3.0.

To reshape the paradigm of "Green" existing buildings, BSL and HKGBC have formulated the upgraded BEAM Plus Existing Buildings Version 3.0, by conducting wider engagement, advancing carbon footprint management towards net-zero emissions, and fostering tenant engagement to induce behavioural change. A flexible theme certification mechanism, climate resilience strategy and smart facility management are also incorporated. In addition to introducing the new version, project teams participating in pilot assessment will share their insights from using the new tool.

We believe that this upgraded version will encourage more existing buildings to participate in green building assessment, thereby assisting Hong Kong to become a smart, green and resilient city.
