Details

Smart facilities management (FM) is important for achieving sustainability by integrating innovative solutions that connect the city, buildings, and people. While Hong Kong has focused on enhancing smartness at the city and building levels, less attention has been paid to applying smart technologies in the FM industry.

Dr. Hou will present her most recent research on the applicability of smart technologies in the FM industry during this CPD presentation. She has conducted in-depth interviews and a survey of FM professionals over the past two years. There have been identified 14 factors that have affected the application of smart technologies in the Hong Kong FM industry. Dr. Hou will use EV-charging at Home Subsidy Scheme to illustrate the important factors and their relationships.
